With the arrival of photo-rich periodicals in print organization in the late 19th century marketers found means of lifting all their paper's popularity by positioning an actual copy of the mag in photos of visible people. For example the German journal Die Woche in 1902 printed an article about a countess in her castle wherever she with the photographs basically holds a duplicate of Perish Woche in her hands.[7]
